Employment OpportunitiesThe Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District provides and maintains a full range of quality facilities and programs focused on leisure, recreational and athletic activities for all ages. We are an equal opportunity employer employing approximately 36 full time employees and up to 125 part time employees during the summer season.
The quality programs we offer to the community may include a wide variety of employment opportunities in each Department.
Departments
In our Recreation Services Department there may be a variety of opportunities in each Division:
- Aquatics Division: Lifeguard, teach swim lessons, host birthday parties, assist with special events and teach classes as water safety instructors.
- Community Programs Division: Teach a variety of youth and adult classes, assist with special events, adaptive programs and opportunities to work seasonally as a youth camp counselor.
- Senior Division: Teach a variety of classes and assist with office work, dances, movies and special events.
- Sports Division: Become a field or gym monitor, assist with sports camps, special events and work at the Pleasant Valley Skate Park.
In our Park Services Department:
There may be a need for Park Rangers and park/facility maintenance staff who provide the upkeep for our numerous parks and facilities. There are also mechanics who maintain District vehicles and equipment.
In our Administrative Services Department:
There may be opportunities to work as a Customer Service Representative by assisting the community with reserving parks and facilities, assist with registering for classes and assist with special events.
