Camarillo Grove Park, a former stage coach stop and home to the oldest tree in the district, is nestled in a rustic setting near the base of the Conejo Grade at the end of Camarillo Springs Road. This park has five areas that can be rented for groups and events ranging from 50 to 350 people. This is a perfect spot for weddings, birthday parties, charity events, anniversary parties, corporate and team building events, school field trips and more! Contact the District at 805-482-1996 for rental information.
Please note: Dogs are not allowed inside Nature Center.
The Outdoor Nature Center is now open to the public during normal park hours unless being utilized for a program or event. This new facility includes interpretive signage along a trail that provides information about our local ecosystems, flora and fauna; interactive water table; teaching deck for programs; nature-based play equipment such as boulders, logs, ant hill, and more; as well as native gardens with braille signs.
Private rentals of the entire enclosed facility are available. Schools and community organizations, at no charge or nominal fee, can utilize the facility for outdoor and nature education programming Monday-Thursday. Please contact the office to make a reservation.
Welcome to our newly expanded trails featuring an upper trail, lower trail, switch backs, sitting areas, viewpoints, and interpretive signs. Our trails are open to everyone, but please be considerate of others and keep your dog leashed at all times when using the trails. This park offers multiple options for hiking. The lower loop is an easier gently sloping trail with oak trees, sage, volcanic rock formations, and more. The upper loop is a moderate hike, over 1 mile in length, with an approximate 600 foot vertical differential. The upper hiking trail has been closed for maintenance with plans to re-open the trail in September.
This enclosed dog park is open from 7am to dusk and features many shaded areas and a doggie drinking fountain. The entire park is also an off leash park Monday - Friday only. Saturday and Sunday dogs are allowed off-leash only in the enclosed dog park. Please be considerate of others and do not allow your dog to be off-leash outside the designated times and locations. Please note: Dogs are not allowed inside Nature Center.
Proceeds from parking permits directly benefit parks, facilities and programs in the District for the community. Motorized vehicles entering the park must purchase either a Daily Parking Permit or Annual Parking Permit.
A Daily Parking Permit is valid only for the date purchased. It can be purchased at the park gate booth either through an attendant or via the provided envelopes when unattended. Provided stub or pass must be visible in the vehicle by being placed on the driver-side dashboard. Checks and cash are accepted at the park gate booth. The Annual Parking Permit is valid one year from month of purchase. It expires the last day of the month as indicated by punch on card. Permit must be visible in vehicle by being placed on the driver-side dashboard or hung from rearview mirror. Permit is non-transferrable and is valid only when the park is open to the public. Periodically, for the safety of patrons, the park may be closed for required maintenance, private rentals, or special events, at these times access may be restricted.
