Quarterly Activity Guide

District Receives State Wide Recognition

Staff submitted the Summer 2011 Activity Guide for Award of Excellence – Print Publication – Marketing Class 3 (population 50,000-100,000). Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District WON the award and was featured at the annual CPRS (California Parks & Recreation Society) conference during the “Best of the Best Awards Social” and the Awards Banquet. The judges complemented the District on the cover photo (the use of bright colors and an action photo), the consistent theme of the guide, and the attractiveness of the well organized display of information on the back cover. Staff attended the CPRS Conference in Long Beach from March 20-23.

Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District produces a quarterly Activity Guide. This guide is mailed to the homes of District residents, is available online and for pick up at multiple locations within the Camarillo area.

The Activity Guide is a user-friendly publication that features classes, special events, and current information that is happening within the District. Residents use this as a community resource guide to reference the latest summer camps, adult sports leagues, Senior Center programs or Aquatic Center programs.  All information within the Activity Guide is District-sponsored and outside advertising is not available for purchase.
