Roller Hockey

Roller hockey is similar to ice hockey, but instead of using ice skates on an ice rink, inline skates are used on a smooth paved surface. The fast paced action keeps the game exciting and fun. Six people including a goalie are on each side and play for three 15 minute periods.

The hockey rink is located at
528 Freedom Park Drive, near the Camarillo Airport and Freedom Park.

Youth Hockey practices on Wednesday evenings from 5-6:30pm and play league games on Sunday afternoons from 4:30-5:30pm. Kids should arrive 15 to 30 minutes prior to start in order to have time to get dressed. Games and practices start promptly at the times stated.

Adult Hockey (16 years and older) has drop in on Wednesday nights from 7-9pm for $10 and plays league games on Sunday evenings from 6-9pm.

Derby Darlin's

The Ventura County Derby Darlins practice and hold bouts throughout the year at the facility. Roller derby is a full-contact sport played by two teams of five members roller skating in the same direction around a track. Game play consists of a series of short match ups (jams) in which both teams designate a jammer who scores points by lapping members of the opposing team. The teams attempt to hinder the opposing jammer while assisting their own jammer—in effect, playing both offense and defense simultaneously. Ventura County Derby Darlins are always recruiting skaters and officials; we will teach you to skate or train you in a non-skating position based on your interest. We practice from 7-9pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and compete in bouts on Saturdays about once a month.
