IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE SPORTS SUPERVISOR!!!

In an effort to improve the new light system at Freedom Park, our electrical contractor will be installing the new Remote Link System and doing the demolition of the old brown electrical breaker box. Games scheduled Monday, April 21 - Thursday, April 24 will be postponed for May 12 - May 15. We apologize for the inconvenience, but hope you understand that we are trying to make the softball program here at Pleasant Valley the best that we can. Please notify your players of the schedule change.

I would like to give you an update on the light project. The old lights had light readings in the range of 11 - 16 Foot Candles (the industry standard unit of measuring light) in the outfields and ranges in the low 20's in the infields. This test was done last August with the Musco rep. Staff met with Musco and Taft reps on Thursday, March 13 at the Freedom fields and took light readings. The new light readings range in the 30 and even the 40's in the outfields and up to 70 at home plate.
