Dr. Neal Dixon and his wife Janet have lived in Camarillo since 1986. He coached his son’s Camarillo Pony Baseball League and AYSO soccer teams for over 17 years. Neal also served as Commissioner for the Camarillo Pony Baseball League and was on the Board of Directors for Camarillo Hospice. As well as being involved in the community, Dr. Dixon has a busy general surgery practice in Camarillo. He has served on numerous boards and committees at St. John's Regional Medical Center and Pleasant Valley Hospital. Most recently he was elected as Chief of Surgery for the years 2010-2012.
He has been the recipient of many awards over the years including the Catherine McAuley Lifetime Achievement Award for his humanitarian work from the St. John's Healthcare Foundation, The Apple of Excellence Award from the Camarillo Healthcare District, and Doctor of the Year Award from St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital.
Dr. Dixon considers his life as a surgeon a career of service and looks forward to serving his community as a Director for Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District.
In his spare time, he enjoys bike riding and hiking with Janet. As well as spending time with their five sons and nine precious grandchildren.
