Activity Guide Cover Photo Contest
July 1-31, 2021
We want to see PVRPD’s parks through your eyes! Submit your best photo showing yourself, a family member, or friend enjoying one of the numerous amenities at our parks. This is your chance to have your photo published on the cover of our upcoming Activity Guide magazine!
Photo must include one or more people enjoying a PVRPD park amenity. Show how parks make life better; this could be an image of someone participating in a class, playing a sport, enjoying playground equipment, exercising in the park, playing with their pet at a dog park, or relaxing in a natural setting. The possibilities are endless! For ideas, visit the individual park pages on our website to explore all the amenities each park has.

Photo size must be at least 8.5” x 11” dimensions, .jpg format, 300 dpi resolution. To be safe, set camera/phone to highest quality available.
Photo must be taken at one of Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District’s 28 parks. A list of parks and their addresses can be found here.
Include a testimonial about the image captured in your photo. List the park, amenity, name of person(s) in photo and what they liked about it.
Upload your file along with your information using the form below. Photos may be submitted July 1-31. Only digital photos will be accepted. Photos may be edited (i.e. Photoshop) to improve impact, but this should be done minimally to preserve natural image quality. Name your file with your name and the name of the park it was taken at (i.e. JohnDoeAdolfoPark.jpg).
PVRPD staff will vote to determine which photo has the most visual appeal in consideration of the theme “Parks Make Life Better.”
Submissions will only be accepted July 1 through July 31, 2021.
Activity Guide may be published online only (not in print) at www.pvrpd.org/activity-guide. By submitting a photograph you: 1. Declare that you own the copyright of the photograph and that it is your original work (or submitted with permission). 2. Declare that you have permission to use the visual image of any identifiable individual in the photograph for entry into the competition and that the image may be published as stipulated in the rules. 3. Agree that Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District (PVRPD) will not be responsible for the infringement of any third-party rights in the photograph, moral or otherwise, that may arise as a result of your actions or omissions and that you indemnify PVRPD against all legal fees, claims, damages and other expenses that may be incurred as a result of your breach of the contest rules. 4. Grant reproduction rights for PVRPD use and in doing so agree that PVRPD can use your photograph for the purposes of the competition and also for future reproduction on websites and literature and other materials at PVRPD’s discretion, image may be edited as seen fit. (Photographs will be credited at initial time of publication.) Contest is open to both residents and non-residents of the District. Entrants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Limit of three photo submissions per individual. All contest submissions may appear on PVRPD’s website and social media or be published in the Activity Guide, or any other promotional material. PVRPD reserves the right to reject any entry deemed not suitable for consideration due to objectionable content such as nudity, drug, alcohol, tobacco use or cruelty to persons or animals.
