Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District’s Outdoor Education Program has updated its Junior Ranger Program. Children ages 5-12 may now enroll in the “Becoming a Junior Ranger” class and be sworn in as an official Camarillo Grove Park Junior Ranger and receive the exclusive Junior Ranger patch! Additionally, children can also learn about three different themes: Fauna, Flora, and Environment to earn additional badges. Complete two (2) of the same themed classes during the year to earn an exclusively themed badge. Throughout the year, children can earn one (1) Junior Ranger patch and up to three (3) badges throughout the year. Children do not to have complete the “Becoming a Junior Ranger Class” to earn themed badges. Classes will be offered during each activity guide season and at Outdoor Education’s Love Your Planet and Trail-or-Treat events.
