Water Aerobics

Enjoy all of the benefits of land aerobics without the impact on your joints. There is no need to pre-register, just be at the pool in time for class.  Cost is $40 per 10-entry pass or $70 for a 20-entry pass. Single entry fee is not available for this class. NASM Certified Instructor:  Allison Thomson.  

 

Deep Water Cardio-Sculpt

Get up and get movin! Are you looking for a workout to really whip you into shape? This class is primarily taught in deep water. Use of flotation belt is recommended. Equipment is provided on a first come-first serve-basis. Cost is $40 per 10-entry pass or $70 for a 20-entry pass. Single entry fee is not available for this class. NASM Certified Instructor: Allison Thomson. 

 

Therapeutic Swimming

This time is for individuals who are not able to lap swim or participate in more advanced exercise classes due to physical reasons. A doctor’s note is needed to participate. Cost is $27 per 10-entry pass, $51 per 20-entry pass or $3 per visit.

 

Morning, Noon & Evening Lap Swim

Lap swimming times are available throughout the week (refer to pool schedule). Lap swimming times are open to all ages, as long as you can swim continually. At times we are busier than normal and encourage sharing a lane or circle swimming with three or more participants per lane. We recommend that the faster swimmers swim in the middle lanes and the slower swimmers swim in the outside lanes. Cost is $27 per 10-entry pass, $51 per 20-entry pass or $3 per visit.

 

Recreation/Family Swim

Recreational swim times are available Friday, Saturday and Sunday (refer to pool schedule). This time is set-aside for friends and families to enjoy an afternoon and evening of recreational swimming. Come play in our new outdoor SPLASH ZONE, slide 65 feet on our WATER SLIDE or jump as high as you can on our DIVING BOARD!  We ask that children 12 years of age or younger be accompanied by a responsible adult.  Please refer to the Pool Safety Rules prior to entering our facility. Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District Lifeguards are certified by the American Red Cross. Cost is $27 per 10-entry pass, $51 per 20-entry pass or $3 per visit.

 

Drop In Water Polo

Drop in for a fun pickup game of water polo. Time is offered on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 – 8:30pm. Please bring your own caps, water polo balls provided. Cost is $27 per 10-entry pass, $51 per 20-entry pass or $3 per visit.

 

American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification Course

Successful completion of this course will certify you to teach all levels of American Red Cross swimming lessons. Successful participation in all classes  and completion of assignments and tests is required for certification. Must be able to swim 200 yards continuously and demonstrate four competitive strokes, sidestroke and elementary backstroke. Participants must purchase the Swimming and Water Safety manual from the American Red Cross prior attending class. Bring a bathing suit and towel to every class. Class is held at the Pleasant Valley Aquatic Center, 1030 Temple Avenue, Camarillo.
