About

Thank you to all who participated in the information-gathering phase of Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District Senior and Community Recreation Facility Needs Study. On September 6, 2018, the District's Board of Directors accepted the findings and recommendations of the study written by Greenplay, LLC.

In phase 2, The District and City published a Request for Proposals for the Design of the proposed Senior and Community Recreation Facility. The architecture firm LPA Design Studios won the bid. Design proposals are published below. Option D is the recommended option.

In phase 3, The District is currently seeking proposals from qualified firms or teams of firms with experience in conducting public opinion polls, communicating with the public, and developing strategic recommendations for pursuing revenue-raising ballot measures.

The District is continuing to work with the City Council on making progress toward a Senior and Community Recreation Facility that meets the needs of all. Further updates will be posted to this page so please check back in. For reference, the below documents will be maintained on this page for historical purposes during the project. For further questions on the Senior and Community Recreation Facility Needs Study project, please contact Justin Kiraly, Administrative Services Manager, at 805-482-1996 ext. 115.
