Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District’s Parks Department is dedicated to providing the community with safe, enjoyable parks and recreation venues. Our goal is to develop, create and maintain parks and facilities that serve the needs of District residents and the surrounding community.
With a staff of approximately 30 employees, the Parks Department maintains over 256 acres of parkland in 28 parks, open space and recreation areas that provide a wide array of opportunities for area residents. From picnic areas, walking paths and equestrian arenas to athletic fields, and community pool, District staff is responsible for maintaining and managing the entire gamut of parks and facilities.
Along with maintaining our beautiful surroundings, the District’s Park Rangers work with the local law enforcement and the City of Camarillo to ensure our ordinances are observed and to help provide a safe community.
The District has hundreds of reservations for outdoor picnic sites annually, along with thousands of rentals for indoor facilities. Reservation information for these sites identify that an average of 75,000+ users visit our pay for use sites.
