The Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District (PVRPD) participates in Ventura County's Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (MJHMP), a collaborative planning effort that identifies natural hazards, assesses community risks, and develops strategies to reduce future losses from disasters such as wildfires, earthquakes, flooding, severe weather, drought, and extreme heat. PVRPD's participation helps ensure that District parks, recreation facilities, critical infrastructure, and community services are considered in countywide hazard mitigation and resilience planning. PVRPD's current annex to the 2022 MJHMP is available below. The 2027 Hazard Mitigation Plan Update is currently underway, and PVRPD is actively participating in the planning process to update the District's hazard assessment, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
