Miracle League Field at Freedom Park 

The Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District is excited to partner with the Miracle League of the 805 organization to bring a new Miracle League field to Camarillo! The future field will be located at Freedom Park [275 E. Pleasant Valley Road, Camarillo 93010]. 

The Miracle League originated in Conyers, Georgia in April 2000. Since that time, the organization has grown to include over 350+ Miracle League Organizations in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. The national mission is to provide opportunities for children with disabilities to play Miracle League baseball, regardless of their abilities. Miracle League serves children and adults who suffer from any physical or mental disabilities, which causes them to be excluded, whether intentionally or not, from conventional baseball leagues.   

Players utilize the Miracle League Field which is a custom-designed, rubberized turf field that accommodates wheelcairs and other assistive devices while helping to prevent injuries. Players use the "buddy" system - pairing each player with an able-bodied peer.
